If you were to poll scientists, the description "utter rubbish" would be frequently used to describe this prediction.
The ancient Mayans were quite good at making astronomical observations and using this data to predict things like eclipses. Of course, they were not nearly as good as modern scientists. The "end of the world" claim is based on modern sensationalists (who have lots of books that they would like to sell you) who claim that in their view, the Mayan calendar stops at December 21, 2012. Of course, the calender on your wall stops at December 31 2009, but that doesn't imply there will be no Jan 1, 2010.
If we consider a reputable scientist as one who works in science for a major university, I think you would be hard pressed to find even one who believed this.
I want to say the world is not going to end in 2012 because no body is god.God is the only person who know the world gone end and the only reason every body say the world ending in 2012 because the movie, now think about it if that movie would't came out no body would't even think about the world ending it's just a reagular movie like every one else make regular movies!!!!!! but people should be thinking bout the life we living now....because every body have to go because you won't live life forever!.
it true the world wil end in 2012 why is some man went to they sky with a rocet and took a bom and threw it by the way you should no the world is going to end bitch asshole.who ever you are and michal Jackson is alive
No, the world did not end in 2012 as predicted by some theories. This was based on the misinterpretation of the Mayan calendar. There is no scientific evidence to support the idea that the world will end in the near future.
The year 2012 has already passed. Different events and developments have occurred since then, shaping the world as we know it today. If you're referring to a specific event or prediction associated with 2012, please provide more context.
butternut= =butternut pumpkin is what butternut squash is called in Australia and New Zealand. BUtternut pumpkin is nt very large. The largest pumpkin in the world is an Atlantic Giant Pumkin In 2012 the world record was broken again at 2009 lbs by Ron Wallace at the Topsfield Fair in Topsfield, MA on September 28, 2012.
Scientist agree that the year 2012 CE is happening. As for the apocalyptic interpretation of the Mayan calendar's ending on December 21, 2012, no legitimate scientist believes there is any merit to that theory.
No reputable scientist claims the world will end in 2012
No. The world is not ending in 2012.
He say's that the world will not end in 2012.
Maybe. Scientist found a calendar from the Mayans, and it is over hundreds of years old. The Mayans had a calendar and predictions about the world. Scientist discovered that the Mayans predicted that the world would end on 2012. Hundreds of years ago, the Mayans predicted that astronauts would land on the moon, and as many years passed by, we have astronauts that landed on the moon! So if their prediction was right, does this mean that their prediction of the world ending on 2012 is going to be true also?....

No. There's nothing in the Bible about the world ending in 2012.
Jesus is the creator.
No responsible scientist has ever 'predicted' the end of the world in 2012. The word will end after all humans die which will be in about 4.6 billion years.
There are many theories about the world ending like December 21, 2012 but really there is no way to know, we will not be able to predict the world ending only disasters that can happen
No. The whole thing is based in superstition.
The world will not die in 2012 and there is no reason to worry about the world ending. Nobody knows when it ends. NOBODY but it is not 2012 and at least the following many centuries.
