The end of life on earth is speculated often when natural disasters occur. The end of an individual's time on earth comes when they die.
When the Sun becomes a red giant, expected to occur in about 5 billion years, it will expand and likely engulf the inner planets, including Earth. This transformation will significantly increase temperatures, rendering the planet uninhabitable long before it might be consumed. Life as we know it will not survive these extreme conditions, marking a definitive end to life on Earth.
It would. Current models suggest that Earth will actually be consumed and destroyed by the expanding sun. However, life on Earth will end long before that. The sun is very slowly expanding, which causes it to put out more heat and light. In about 800 million to 1 billion years Earth will become too hot to support liquid water.
At first, the sun will soon run out of its primary fuel, hydrogen. This will cause the sun's layers to expand, becoming a red giant. This will likely happen in 5 billion years. While scientists are unsure whether the expanded the sun will engulf the Earth or not, it will likely end life on Earth nonetheless. After it runs out of all fuel, including the heavier elements, it will begin shedding its outer layers and become a planetary nebula. Life on Earth would've almost certainly ceased by then.
It is postulated that towards the end of its life cycle, the sun will become a red giant, which will consume several of the inner planets, possible including the earth. Even if the diameter of the sun does not expand to the point where the earth is consumed, the increased heat and radiation due to the sun's closer proximity will exterminate life on earth. Eventually, the sun will collapse into a white dwarf.
Not really but it will expand at the end of its' life and will engulf the Earth as well as many of the planets.
Alpha Proxima, but don't think it will matter, all life on earth will end pronto.
Death does not mean the end of life. Life continues after death, but the place we find ourselves varies in relation to our activities on earth.
There is currently no event or scenario that would lead to the complete end of life on Earth. While there are threats such as climate change, natural disasters, and pandemics, life on Earth is resilient and diverse. It is important for humans to address these challenges to ensure the long-term sustainability of our planet.
they would think it's weird, strange and exotic like how we think of music on the opposite end of Earth from ours and how we would think the aliens' music is.
No
Ultimately it could mean the end of all life on earth
There will always be a start and an end to something. Eventually, the Earth, our Sun, our universe must end. Maybe to start a new universe and new life somewhere else. Thankfully, as it is many billion of centuries in the future (fingers crossed) I won't be alive to see it happen.
No one knows.
No
No, life on Earth does not end in the year 2012. That is a ridiculous rumor.
