The eighth planet is Neptune, known as the stormy planet. It is another gas giant, and it is stormy because it is still forming. The amazing thing about the storms on Neptune is that scientists think that it is raining diamonds on this planet! You would definitely want to collect "rainwater" on Neptune.

∙ 14y agoExtreme temperature and pressure. Diamonds are formed by solid carbon, but in a special cristal configuration that arises from extreme conditions or temperature and pressure. The atmosphere in Venus has extreme conditions both in pressure and temperature, so the carbon ashes are condensed in the form of diamonds.

∙ 12y agoNo planet is MADE of diamonds. However, it is believed that Neptune has the possibility of creating diamonds by the decomposition of methane at certain depths.
Actually There IS a planet made of diamonds it was discovered 2 days ago Friday 26th August 2011. I dont think it has a name yet but for now i think we call it Planet Diamond, I'm toatally not sure.

Yes there is a planet made out of diamonds they found it just about last week except it would take us some thousand light years to get there. The planet is made out of crystalized carbon like diamonds are! Hopefully we never reach the planet because we would mine itWiki User

∙ 8y agoNo. It does not rain anything on Mars and atmospheric pressure is not nearly high enough to produce diamonds. It may rain diamonds on Neptune.
