Robots can be subjected to much higher pressures than the human body can, and space and under the sea are the 2 most pressurised environments we know about. So robots do these jobs for us, so we dont risk exploding (very messy!) in these exreme environments.

Where are most robots used earth or space?

Robots are an integral part of life on Earth and in space. However, there are far more robots on the surface of the Earth than in space. Some notable robots on earth include manufacturing robots and robotic surgery tools. Those in space include the robots exploring Mars and the solar system.

Are most robots are working up in space?

Yes, many robots are designed and used for operations in space. They can assist with tasks such as maintenance, exploration, and assembly within the unique environment of outer space where human access is limited.

What reasons might robots replace humans in space exploration?

Robots may replace humans in space exploration as a means to gather resource for future bases or to be used to build those base and robots are replacing humans in space right now, the mars rovers are robots.

Why do scientists send robots to space?

The problem with human exploration of space is that you have to spend a lot of money creating an environment that supports human life. A robot doesn't need (much) heat, light or oxygen and no one cries if it dies or can't get back. So it's much cheaper to send a robot. Robots can also be sent to places where a human would struggle to perform useful experiments - so they can be used to investigate close to volcanoes or undersea and take samples without being hampered by gloves.

What is deep space exploration?

Deep space exploration is a phrase used to describe the exploration of space that is not in the immediate vicinity. This typically well away from the planet Earth.

What can you find out aboutrecent space travel or exploration?

These words are used interchangeably in informal language. However there is a difference between them. Space travel often refers to human beings travelling to space for research & development. Whereas space exploration is all about exploring the space and collecting data through rovers, satellites, robots and humans.

Where are space robots used?

The term space robots would only apply to a robot that is used in space. The human race has only a limited presence in space at the present time, and not a lot of robots in space. One could call the Mars rover a robot of sorts.

How are space robots created and used?

What is two kinds of robots used for exploration?

Moon rovers and ROV's (remote operated vehicles) usually used in deep sea exploration
