The Big Bang was first posited by Belgian physicist and priest, Msgr. Georges Lemaitre, who developed the idea at some stage between 1927 and 1933, 1927 when he first proposed the expanding universe model, and 1933 when he published his most detailed paper on the model and it's implications for universe formation. Most of his work was based of Einstein's work on relativity.

And over the years, scientists have found increasing evidence which supports the big bang theory, as Ken Mitchell above states.

Was Albert Einstein's nickname Big Al Jones?

I don't know, I read somewhere that it was Tete, but I hope that big AI Jones is right, because that was my answer on some homework. "Tete" was Eduard, Albert Einstein's second son, who was born in Zurich in 1910.

How will Albert Einstein be remembered?

Albert Einstein will be remembered as one of the greatest scientists in history, known for his contributions to the field of theoretical physics, particularly his theory of relativity. He revolutionized our understanding of the universe and won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1921. Einstein's work continues to inspire and influence scientists and thinkers around the world.

Did George Gamow invent the Big Bang?

No, George Gamow did not invent the Big Bang theory. The concept of the Big Bang was developed by multiple scientists, including Georges Lemaître, Alexander Friedmann, and George Gamow himself, based on Einstein's theory of general relativity. George Gamow did contribute to the refinement and popularization of the theory.

Who are the scientist that theorized on the origin of the world?

Some famous scientists who have theorized on the origin of the world include Albert Einstein, with his theory of general relativity, and Georges Lemaitre, who proposed the Big Bang theory. Stephen Hawking also made significant contributions to our understanding of the early universe with his work on black holes and the theory of everything.

Did the Catholic Church discover the Big Bang?

The Catholic Church, per se, did not 'discover' the Big Bang Theory. However, the original theory was first proposed by a Catholic monsignor from Belgium, Father George Lemaitre, in 1933, after reading Einstein's Theory of Relativity.

Did Albert Einstein accept Big Bang Cosmology?

Not initially. Indeed, his comments to its first proponent, Jesuit priest Georges LeMaitre, was "Your calculations are correct, but your physics is abominable." Einstein felt more comfortable with a Universe that was eternally stable, even though the general relativity that Einstein developed did not permit such a Universe to exist. When Edwin Hubble showed that all distant galaxies had a red shift -- exactly as Big Bang Cosmology predicted -- Einstein admitted that his rejection of LeMaitre's idea was his biggest blunder.

Did God the all knowing make the big bang?

To quote Einstein, "I had no need of that theory."

How does Eisenstein's theory of relativity support the Big Bang theory?

The Theory of Relativity was created by Einstein, not by Eisenstein. Comment: The most obvious thing is that Einstein's equations predicted that the Universe was not "static". So a "Big Bang", expanding Universe fits the theory.

Did Albert Einstein have nicknames?

Albert Einstein had several nicknames. Big Al Jones was one of them. Schweinhnd, meaning pig-dog, and Honest John were two other nicknames.
