Spacecraft don't use film to make their pictures, but use pixels. When a spacecraft takes a snap-shot, the picture is coded. This code varies from 0 to 100. 0 defines very dark and 100 defines very bright. The message is sent to earth and is picked up by NASA Deep Space Network. The picture is decoded and the snapshot looks like the original.

Space suits have microphones and transmitters built in.

Earth's atmosphere has a pressure of 1 ATM, which is the equivalent weight of a column of water 34 feet tall. While the body can withstand higher pressures (such as diving into the sea), it can not withstand significantly lower pressures.

Thus, on the moon, people must wear fully encapsulated space suits due to the extremely low atmospheric pressure.

Thus, the astronaut has an earth-like atmosphere around them at all time which can transmit sound waves to a microphone, or from speakers. On a tethered system, the transmission would be through the tether. On a self contained system, it would be done with radio broadcasting.

If a radio malfunctions, they would have to use hand signals.
