It's fairly difficult to spot Leo if you're not familiar with it, because frankly, it looks nothing like an actual lion. It looks more like an inverted question mark, if even that.

It really takes a lot of imagination to see this constellation as a lion. It got its name because of nuances in language and was first considered to be a star of royalty, which the lion was a symbol of in many cultures throughout history.

The star arrangement however, looks absolutely nothing like a lion.
