The Sun will set on its own, without you having to do anything. Just wait. On the other hand, it is quite unlikely that a single person, or even mankind in its entirety, can make the Sun set sooner or later - or set whenever you want it to set.

To make a Sun you need a couple of items.

  1. A very large area (About 5 trillion miles across)
  2. Obtain the equivalent of 972,000 Earths full of hydrogen and mix with 324,000 Earths full of helium. Any good astrobakery will stock them.
  3. Sprinkle with just a pinch of metals, oxygen, carbon and iron are preferred but rosemary gives off a nice aroma.
  4. Add the mixture to your large area and give it a little "push".
  5. As the mixture moves, it will slowly start to condense in the centre. Given time, this will start to rotate faster and faster.
  6. This is the proving session. Leave for a few million years. Have a quick look, and you will see that your new protostar has swelled up quite a bit.
  7. Leave for a bit longer and as more and more material is accreted onto the new protostar, the temperature in the core will slowly heat up.
  8. Once the core temperature reaches 10,000,000 degrees Kelvin nuclear fusion occurs and your Sun is now ready.

Serve with moontons and a nice rocket salad.
if you have a stirofoam ball use that paint it a red-yellow color add some dips to make it look real.
