When a natural -- not man-made diamond -- is radiated, the crystals containing trace amounts of minerals other than carbon, the natural, latent colour of the stone is enhanced. Whenever a diamond is radiated, it is imperative that this process be documented, so that any potential buyer understands where the diamond 'got its colour'. A gemologist can determine whether or not a diamond has been irradiated and its colour, therefore, enhanced. Intensely coloured diamonds are generally more valuable than diamonds with less prominent colours. As well, naturally coloured diamonds are more valuable than diamonds that have been enhanced.
Light is just radiation bouncing off objects that comes back to us as colour. For example, a black shirt looks black because it absorbs most of the light's radiation and a white shirt looks white because the light's radiation bounces off the white.
The stratosphere contains a layer of ozone that absorbs and scatters incoming ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun, preventing it from reaching the Earth's surface in excessive amounts. This ozone layer acts as a shield, filtering out harmful UV radiation that can damage living organisms and ecosystems.
The Van Allen radiation belts are two zones of charged particles (electrons and protons) held in place by Earth's magnetic field. These belts help protect Earth by trapping and deflecting harmful solar radiation, acting as a magnetic sunscreen that prevents most of the radiation from reaching the Earth's surface. This protection is important for maintaining the safety of astronauts and satellites in space.
The primary layers of the atmosphere that absorb heat from the sun are the troposphere and the stratosphere. In the troposphere, the Earth's surface absorbs solar radiation and then re-emits it as infrared radiation, which warms the air. The stratosphere contains ozone, which absorbs significant amounts of ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun, converting it into heat. Together, these layers help regulate the Earth's temperature and protect life from harmful solar radiation.

AnswerYou can get a new colour for your penguin at the Gift Shop in the Town Center. When you get to the Gift Shop, you can either walk over to the change rooms on the left or click on the catalog on the bottom right of the Club Penguin screen. I believe the colours are in the first page of the catalog. When you bought the colour(s) you want, it will be in your inventory and you can change your colour. To open up your inventory, you click on your penguin. Your old colour will also be there in case you want to change back.
