If an athletes line of gravity moves outside of his/her base of support then they will no longer be able to maintain that body position. Eg; during a headstand the performers centre of mass must remain between the triangle of the hands and head. If it moves outside of this then the balance will break down.

What are seven factors that affect body alignment and mobility?

line of gravity, centre of gravity, base of support, postural tonus, joint mobility, balance(stability), coordinated movement

Where is line of gravity of human body?

The line of gravity of the human body is an imaginary line passing vertically downward from the center of gravity of the body. It usually runs from the head through the center of mass to the ground. Maintaining balance along this line is crucial for stability and proper posture.

How Does Gravity Affect the Suns movement?

Actually the gravity cannot affect the suns movement. But without gravity, every planet would stop orbiting and sail off out of here in a straight line.

The center of gravity does not contribute to individual stability True Or False?

True. The center of gravity is the point where all the body's mass is concentrated. It does not contribute directly to individual stability, but rather influences how the body must position itself to maintain balance. Other factors, such as the base of support and the line of gravity, play a more direct role in stability.

How does the centre of gravity affect or is affected by vehicle stability and ride?

For same mass, lower cog = less tipping leverage on corners

What design factors affect the stability of a parachute?

Parachutist weight. Gravity. Wind flow. Landing speed. Jump height. Weather.

Does different types of gravity affect robots?

Yes, different types of gravity can affect robots. Robots designed to operate in environments with different levels of gravity (such as on Earth, the moon, or Mars) need to be calibrated and programmed accordingly to ensure proper functionality and mobility. Changes in gravity can impact the robot's stability, movement capabilities, and energy consumption.

How would changing the location of the center of gravity of a structure affect it?

Changing the location of the center of gravity of a structure can impact its stability and balance. Moving the center of gravity higher can make the structure more prone to tipping over, while moving it lower can increase stability. It is important to carefully consider these changes to ensure the safety and functionality of the structure.

How does government stability affect a business?

Yes the government can affect the stability of a business

What is the relationship between base of support and line of gravity?

The base of support is the area beneath an object or person that sustains their weight. The line of gravity is an imaginary line passing through the center of gravity of an object or person. The relationship between the two is that a wider base of support provides more stability because it allows for better alignment with the line of gravity, reducing the risk of tipping or falling over.

How do mass of the objects affect the force of gravity?

The greater the mass, the stronger the gravity, but the distance does not affect the amount of gravity.
