first the question is, to the extent of my knowledge, wrong; as electromagnetic and gravitational fields are endless, however the strength of the field decreases exponentially as you go further away from the mass . so increased mass doesn't lead to a larger field , it leads to a stronger one. this is according to Newton's equation F= M * m/d2. as for the question why the existence of mass results in gravitational force, and increases it , is one of the mysteries of physics, even the general relativity doesn't provide sufficient explanation.
