The space shuttle is flying fast enough (at least 17,500 mph) which is the speed needed to stay in orbit. If it slowed below that in would fall back to earth instead of falling around it. This is basically the way it returns to earth. It turns itself around and fires it's OMS engines slowing it down enough for the earths gravity to pull it back. It then uses the atmosphere to slow it down to a safe landing speed.
The first space shuttle was launch in 1981. Space shuttle missions do not stay in orbit, they are designed to return to Earth after missions generally lasting 1-2 weeks.
it is advantageous for astronauts to live on a space station rather a space shuttle because a space station allow astronauts to stay and work extended time . A space shuttle is a space craft to transport astronauts , satellites, and other materials to and from space.
The first space shuttle developed by NASA was the Space Shuttle Enterprise, which never flew in space and was used for atmospheric flight tests. The first space shuttle to reach space was the Space Shuttle Columbia, which launched on April 12, 1981.
There were 5. Space Shuttle Columbia (destroyed in 2003), Space Shuttle Challenger (destroyed in 1886), Space Shuttle Discovery, Space Shuttle Atlantis, and Space Shuttle Endeavour.
The name of the space shuttle was Challenger.
yes. How else would the space shuttle stay in orbit?
no you cant the bal willnot stay on the ground

The International Space Station was assembled in space and is designed to stay there. It is meant as a place of research and as a place for astronauts to stay in space. A space shuttle is a vehicle that can lauch from Earth into space and then return, something a space station cannot do. Space shuttles transport people and equipment to and from space.
Do you mean how do you survive in space? In that case you would need a space suit. Either that or stay in your space shuttle/ship.

Space Shuttle Endeavour was the final Space Shuttle built. It was built to replace Space Shuttle Challenger.

The space shuttle went into space and studied outer space.
