Earth, along with the other seven planets in our solar system, formed around 4.6 billion years ago.
Exoplanets, the planets orbiting other stars, would have formed at varying times in the past.
They are made of less dense materials. While the inner planets are made primarily of rock, the outer planets are made mostly of hydrogen and helium.
Moons are natural satellites that orbit planets, planets orbit stars like our Sun, and stars are part of galaxies that contain planets and moons. Moons are gravitationally bound to planets while planets are gravitationally bound to stars. All three are part of the same interconnected celestial system.
There are four planets that are made out of gas: Jupiter, Saturn, Urans and Neptune. These planets are called the "gas giants" . The other four planets (Earth, Mercury, Venus and Mars) are mostly made out of rock.
They are bigger because the Outer Planets had less gas and dust taken away from them when the solar system was forming. The Inner planets were closer to the sun, so the sun took more gas and dust away from those bodies, but didn't take away from the Outer bodies.
Terrestrial planets and jovian planets are both types of planets found in our solar system. They are made up of different materials - terrestrial planets have solid surfaces predominantly made of rock and metal, while jovian planets are primarily composed of gas and liquids. Both types of planets orbit a star and have moons or natural satellites.
A long Time ago
It was made in 1946. So, not that long ago...
The ancient Babylonians were creating star catalogs and observing the planets as early as the 8th century BCE, so it was over 2,700 years ago. They developed a sophisticated system of astronomy that influenced later civilizations.
I think it was made 170 million years ago

Things made by humans long ago are called Artifacts.
The planets in our solar system formed our of the solar nebular/disk from which the Sun was made (as the Sun formed), some 4,600 million years ago. Therefore there have always been roughly the same number of planets as we have now. However, our solar system could have lost one or more of the original planets that were formed as the planets settled into their current positions. As part of the settling process, orbital resonances can cause planets to interact with each other gravitationally and planets can be ejected from the forming solar system. If this did happen, then we do not how may planets there were originally.
it was made in 2005.
