it took 98 minutes, it stayed in space for 6 months
If this helps it orbited 1440 times in 3 months.
No Sputniks are still in orbit. When they were, the period of an orbit was about 88 minutes.
Sputnik I completed 1,440 orbits before falling back to earth.
Sputnik 1, the first artificial satellite, reached an altitude of about 939 kilometers (583 miles) above Earth's surface. This altitude allowed it to orbit the Earth approximately once every 96 minutes.
None. She died within hours of the launch from overheating.

Sputnik with its puppy dog passenger( Laika ) was launched in October 1957, and remained in orbit until early 1958, when it reentered EarthÂ’s atmosphere and burned up Sputnik 1 was in orbit for 3 months, completing 1440 orbits. Sputnik 2, Laika's flight, was in orbit for 162 days. There were other missions, but these two, especially Sputnik 1, were the ones to capture the world's - especially the US'- attention.

No. Sputnik was the "family name" for a series of satellites, and none of them dropped bombs on Earth. Not out of restraint, but because they didn't have any to drop. But the fear was that once someone had the technology to put things into orbit, then it'd be a small step to actually drop things from orbit as well.
