A light year is the distance light travels in 1 human year
One light year is 186000 X 60 X 60 X 24 X 365 miles
Human years are a measure of time, while a light-year is a measure of distance.
How long is a light year on a clock?
10 months
A light-year is a measure of distance that a photon of light will travel in one year .
A light-year is the distance light travels in a year. Therefore, if a certain star is "x" light-years from Earth, then it takes light "x" years to get fromthe star to us. Or the other way round.
A light year is a measure of distance not time. A light year is the distance light travels in one year. So for light to travel 6,300 light years, would take 6,300 years
The correct abbreviation is LY.- A kilo light-year is KLY.(1,000 light-years).- A mega light-year MLY.(1 million light-years).- A giga light-year is GLY.(1 billion light-years).
A light-year is a distance, not a year. 16 light-years is the distance light can travel in 16 years - 94,058,003,200,000 miles.
A donkey year is the equivalent of 1.75 human years. The expression "donkey's year" means something takes a very long time.

8 million years. A light-year is the distance light travels in a year.
A light-year is a measure of distance that a photon of light will travel in one year .
A light year is a measure of distance, not time, and so there's no relation between the two in this case. However one statement that can be said is that 50,000 light years is the distance travelled by light in 50,000 human years.
140 years old is the correct answer because you times whatever human year by the dog years so 20 X 7 is 140. and a cat year for 1 human year is 16 cat years for one human year...... Hope this helps.... :)
Light Year is the distance that light travels in one year. Please rephrase your question.
well it depends on what you are measuring your 'much' in. First thing is, a light year is a distance not a time. It is defined as the distance light would travel in the time of one human year. Now to define this: light travels at ~300000000ms-1 and there are 31536000s in one year, so light will travel: 300000000*31536000 = 9.5x1015 metres in one year (that is 95 followed by 14 zeros! so a long distance) so in 9.7 light years light will travel 9.2x1016 metres. Which is a very very long distance.
It's exactly 7 light years away. One light year is the distance that light travels through space in one year.7 of those is a distance of something like 41,150,289,900,000 miles.
Cmon man, a ferret year is as long as a human year but if you mean in comparison to dog years, which is 7:1 human, then a ferret year would be 12:1 if your ferret lives to be ten, that would be 120 years old.

Light years is actually a measure of distance expressed in time. For example, a galaxy is 1 light year long, which means it will take 1 year to reach that galaxy with the speed of light(c). This implies that the galaxy is c(m/year)*1 meters long.
