Yes there is. One of those nights was when the Titanic sank. Once every 291/4 days. As there is a full moon, so there must be a 'no moon'. It's the lunar cycle: When the moon looks like the front of a D it is developing (waxing) from new (no) moon to full moon. Then, when it looks more and more like a C it is contracting (waning) from full moon to new (no) moon.
