Mars has a mountain called Olympus Mons, an extinct volcano. It has been able to remain high, since the force of gravity on mars, `pulling` the mountain back to the surface, is less. It stands around 27km or 16 miles above the surrounding plains, nearly three times higher than Everest.
Earth is bigger, with a diameter of 12,756 km and a mass of 5.97x1024kg. Mars, on the other hand, has a diameter of 6792 km and a mass of 0.642x1024kg.
Olympus Mons is the highest mountain on Mars and also the highest mountain in the solar system. It is 3 times higher than Mount Everest: 27 kilometers (around 16.7 miles/approx. 88,580 ft).
Earth is larger than Mars, but Earth is not the largest planet.
