East, more or less. Depending on the date and your latitude, the exact direction may be somewhat north or south of due east, but the Sun (and Moon, and stars, and planets) all rise in "the east" and set in "the west".

The reason is that the Earth is actually spinning like a carousel, from west to east. The Sun, planets and stars aren't actually MOVING, and even the Moon doesn't move all that quickly.
