Scientists predict the Earth will be completely uninhabitable by within a billion years or so. As the Sun ages, it is heating up, and a billion years from now the surface of the Earth will have an average temperature above the boiling point of water. So in the long term, getting off the Earth is pretty critical for the ultimate survival of our descendants.
In the "short" term ... 65 million years ago there was something called the K-T Event, which killed off about 70% of the species alive at the time (it's thought that this was due to the impact of a large meteorite). The fossil records shows evidence of several such past "extinction events", happening on average every hundred million years or so. That means that we have maybe 35 million years to go (short compared to a billion) ... if the time between the K-T Event and the next one is "average"; it could be much nearer than that. Humans might not be completely killed off by a giant asteroid impact, but it would certainly have a devastating effect on civilization, another reason for looking at space colonization as important for the survival of the species.
No, there aren't any ducks on the moon because ducks can not breath in outerspace, because of the lack of oxygen.
Some people believe that creating habitats in space can help alleviate overpopulation on Earth, provide opportunities for scientific research and exploration, and ultimately ensure the long-term survival of the human species in case of catastrophic events on Earth. Additionally, space habitats could potentially lead to new economic opportunities and resource extraction.
No. People live in the troposphere.
Astronauts can live in outerspace because in the space station they have water that is recycled, electricity provided by solar panels, and freeze dried food to last them the duration of their trip.
People who live in glass houses, should not cast stones
Because outespace is not the same as earth, because there is oxygen on plante earth and non-oxygen in outer space.
As far as scientists have found, there are no living creatures in outer space.
There are currently astronauts or scientists living in the International Space Station. They do their scientific works out there and also install, repair, or remove parts if need be.
princess roslina in super Mario bros ives in outerspace with all the infinite star pets
The main reason for man kind being greedy to live is poverty. People are poor and cant effort to live in this expensive world.
No one lives in the Galaxy itself.. but the worlds in it.. and at the moment the only world with life as we know it is us... and there's about 6,775,235,700 in the world.. that's from 2009 so I would say that...Hope this helps(:
people are nice and weird ;[
Yes they are, Santa created the world in 7 days so he'd have somewhere to keep his reindeer. No they are NOT! santa is way cooler. god is just a fairytale. oh and Santa's reindeer live in outerspace with the aliens k.
Fish cannot survive in outerspace. Fish's gills filter 02 (the same molecule we breathe)out of the water. This, along with any other matter, is not found in outerspace. Even if fish could supply themselves with oxygen in outerspace the vacuum would cause them to expand and die. If they created someway to solve this problem (Fish are quite resourceful), the radiation of stars would also kill them. Yes Fish can live in outer space. Fish breathe using water to transform into oxygen so only if there's water outer space which is a possibility.
because people should live in peace and to have a good relationship with others
You should not this question to me instead to the people who live on the plateaus........
In a house or apartment.
