The days of Creation have always been a matter of debate. Not all believed in a literal 6 24 hour days like the Post Roman Catholic fundamentalists. In fact most did not think this is what was meant here. Many early church fathers saw the first 7 days as 7,000 years. The Bible makes two interesting statements, one in 1 Peter (a day unto the Lord is as 1,000 years unto man) and the other in Psalms 90 that led many early Rabbis and even the students of the apostles to believe they could each have been 1,000 or more years. Why? Because the number 1,000 to the ancient Hebrews was an almost uncountable sum that could represent more than 1,000 because the text in Psalms implies 1,000 years to man is like a blink of God's eye. It is said that Gid is the owner of the cattle of 1,000 hills but in truth they are all His and there are many more than a mere 1,000 hills, Therefore before Adam we are speaking of days as God saw them not as man sees them. The bible always speaks in terms of 10's of 1,000's and we have summations like 10,000 x 10,000 and never millions or billions. A great scientifically oriented perspective comes from MIT Professor Dr. Gerald Schroeder titled "The Age od the Universe". I recommend reading this before coming to any dogmatic conclusions. Paul

What are the 6 day of creation on?

In the biblical account of creation found in Genesis, the six days of creation are as follows: On Day 1, God created light, separating it from darkness. On Day 2, He created the sky and separated the waters above from the waters below. Day 3 involved the gathering of waters to reveal dry land, along with the creation of vegetation. On Day 4, God made the sun, moon, and stars to govern day and night. Day 5 saw the creation of marine life and birds, while Day 6 was marked by the creation of land animals and humans in God's image.

What is the evidence for a literal 6 day creation?

The evidence for a literal 6-day creation comes primarily from a literal interpretation of the Genesis creation account in the Bible. Some proponents argue that the Hebrew word "yom" (day) in Genesis refers to a literal 24-hour day. Additionally, the genealogies in the Bible are sometimes used to calculate the age of the Earth as around 6,000-10,000 years old.

Was day 1 of Creation the same as Monday?

The current seven days of the week were popularised by the Romans, but the very reason we count a week as seven days is because of the account of the early chapters of Genesis. Sunday was traditionally the first day of the week amongst God's people, so day 1 would correspond to a Sunday of our calendar.

What was God's message to Adam and Eve during the six days of creation?

A:It is hard to see any connection between the first biblical creation story in Genesis 1:!-2:4a, and the second one which follows. It is in the first creation story that God took six days for creation, but man (both male and female) was only created at the very end of the sixth day as the very last act of creation, after which God rested. In the context of this story, God could not have given Adam and Eve any message during these six days. True, God did create Adam as his very first act of creation in the second creation story, but here there is no mention of six days and Leon R. Kass (The Beginning of Wisdom: Reading Genesis) says that we must scrupulously avoid reading into the second story any facts or notions taken from the first.Another answerIn Genesis 1:28ff God blesses the man and woman and tells them:- be fruitful and multiply, replenish the earth.God gave man a mandate to subdue creation and have dominion over it-to use it but not abuse it.- He has given them every herb and fruit for food. This was not during the first six days man was created on the sixth day
