It wouldn't vary much, The seasons would be longer due to the slower rotation of the planet due to its size, and maybe its orbit. That's pretty much the only drastic change, because like the question states "life supporting". As far as the climate it depends on where you are at on the planet. The poles will be colder and the futher you come in the warmer, just like earth.
