Hydrogen & Helium Hydrogen makes up about 92% of all of the atoms in the sun while helium makes up about 7.8%. Other gasses, such as Oxygen, Carbon, Neon and nitrogen make up the remaining 0.2%.

Not only 2 gases but about 100 gases are present in the sun. Hydrogen and Helium contributes for the major part. But it also contains gases like oxygen, nitrogen, argon,etc. and almost all other gases which you may know. In fact the Earth is also a part of the Sun only. Thus it is necessary that all the gases that is present on the Earth's atmosphere have to be necessarily present in the Sun

The Sun is made up of the following: 75% hydrogen, 23% helium, and the last 2% is a bunch of other things like oxygen and carbon. So, the answer basically: Hydrogen and helium.
