Neil Armstrong was the first man to set foot on the moon on July 20th 1969.

While he may not have actively made massive contributions to life on Earth, he inadvertantly became the centre of attention in the most-watched event in history. On that day billions of people were given hope for the future through the actions of Armstrong and the people that created the Apollo program.

Armstrong actively campaigns against the US acting 'as the world's Policeman', refuses to be affiliated with any political spectrum and refuses to profit from his status as 'first man on the moon'. He also campaigns for further exploration of space, a return to the moon and onward missions to Mars.
