Since we are talking about warming, what you are looking for is heat or more properly thermal energy, But there is a problem as thermal energy cannot travel through empty space as this form of energy is defined in terms of the vibrations of matter at the atomic/molecular level.
What travels through empty space and when it arrives on earth produces these vibrations in matter that will warm the earth is electromagnetic radiation, primarily radiation in the infrared and visible light bands. The energy in this radiation is electromagnetic in nature and is cyclicly exchanged back and forth between the electric and magnetic fields of the wave.
Heat transfer through empty space is known as radiation. It does not require a medium (such as air or water) for heat to travel and can occur in a vacuum. This type of heat transfer is how the sun's energy reaches us on Earth.
It's the only way heat could reach us. It comes via electromagnetic radiation, discovered theoretically by James Clerk Maxwell. It can't come by conduction or convection because space is empty, there is no air there.
Light is an electromagnetic wave, requiring no medium in with to travel. It emanates from the Sun in a spherical manner until it hits something or travels sufficient distance to diminish in intensity adequately to become invisible, according to the inverse square law.
Light from the sun travels to Earth through the vacuum of space as electromagnetic radiation. This radiation consists of waves of energy that move at the speed of light, reaching Earth in about 8 minutes.
They will slow down slightly compared to their speed in vacuum, they will bend slightly as they enter the atmosphere, and they will follow a path through it that continues to curve slightly.
About 93 million miles of empty space.l
Convection travels through matter. It won't travel through empty space.Convection travels through matter. It won't travel through empty space.Convection travels through matter. It won't travel through empty space.Convection travels through matter. It won't travel through empty space.
Both electromagnetic energy and gravity waves can do that.
Radiation is energy that comes from a source and travels through some material or through space.Since there is Vacuum( empty space) between earth and the sun, Light travels using radiation....Hope it helped! :)
Electromagnetic energy, such as light and heat, travels by radiation. Radiant energy can move through empty space and is transmitted by electromagnetic waves.
Heat travels through empty spaces by radiation.
Heat travels through empty spaces by radiation.
Ultrasonic waves are not how energy is transferred from the sun to the Earth because ultrasonic waves are sound waves with frequencies too high for humans to hear. The energy from the sun reaches the Earth through electromagnetic radiation, primarily in the form of visible light and heat. This energy travels through space in the form of photons, not as mechanical waves like ultrasonic waves.

Electromagnetic energy can travel through empty space and travels in waves. This includes visible light, radio waves, microwaves, X-rays, and gamma rays.
Electromagnetic radiation... i.e., light. Electromagnetic Waves A+
Radiant energy is energy that travels in waves and can move through empty space, like light from the sun. It is a form of energy that we can feel as heat or see as light.
