Climate of the earth is determined by a number of factors:

  • Its axis to the Plane of the Ecliptic
  • Its orbit around the sun as well as around its own axis
  • Influence of the moon as well as a number of other minor influences such as volcanic activity.

There is no real way to describe the climate of the entire planet. It is so diverse that we divide it up into regions.

These climates are split up into what are known as 'biomes'. These biomes are the different climates on earth, and here is a list of the biomes: desert, tundra, tropical rain forest, deciduous forest, taiga, and grassland.
