Jupiter is a very windy and stormy planet. There are constant storms over Jupiter, with winds reaching speeds of well over 390 miles per hour. The atmosphere is made up of hydrogen and ammonia.

Lightning has been observed on Jupiter, leading astronomers to believe there might be water clouds beneath the ammonia layer that we cannot see.

The planet is very cold, usually between -120 and -140 Celsius on average.

There is a large storm, called "The Great Red Spot" which has been raging on the planet. the storm was discovered over 350 years ago and is STILL raging on today.
