Technically, the moon (Luna) is the only "natural" satellite of the Earth (Terra). That is because it is the only one that was not put into orbit deliberately by sentient beings. If asteroids are retrieved from the asteroid belt and sent into orbit around the Earth (as is currently being planned by NASA), they would still not be considered "natural" sattelites. Only if a meteor is captured by the Earth's gravitational force and goes into a stable orbit (most unlikely) without having had its normal orbit altered, would it be considered "natural".
Some natural satellites were created there, but artificial satellites are placed there using rockets.
Yes it is, but it was also a Russian Satelite
When a satelite's rotational period is the same as its orbital period, like our moon, the satelite is tidally locked to the body being orbited. Such a rotation rate is known as a synchronous rotation. The effect is that the same side of the satelite always faces the orbited body.
with successful launching of USSR satelite The Explorer 1 on January 31, 1958.
Planets are the original satelites; man-made satelites are named this because they are not planetary satelites. Satelites = "revolve around" A hospital may have satelite clinics around town; a large business or store or bank may have satelite offices or branches A satellite is an object that orbits a larger object. The moon is a natural Satellite that orbits the earth. the ISS is an artificial satellite. Therefore the planets are Satellites orbiting the sun.
a natural satelite is something that is not made by man and orbits a planet. It is caught in the planets forces. For example, one of the Earths natural satelite is the moon.
None. Natural satellites are not launched, they are already there
The Earth has many artificial satelites but the Moon is its only natural satelite.
Some natural satellites were created there, but artificial satellites are placed there using rockets.
A geosintric satelite is a satelite who's orbetal track on the earth repeats regularly over the earth equator. But techiquely if the satelite lies over the equator its called a geostationary satelite but a geosintric satelite is a type of geostationary satelite.
Jupiter has more natural satellites than any other known world.
the earths satelite is called the moon but there are many different names
A satelite that orbits between the two poles.
I thinks its a satelite made my humans
A natural satellite is an object that orbits a planet, while Earth is a planet that has its own natural satellite, the Moon. Earth is a celestial body that orbits the Sun, whereas a natural satellite orbits a planet.
From Thao: to make a satelite cross rockets with void.
No.
