Terrestrial planets like Mercury, Venus Earth and Mars are usually made of a molten core of iron or nickel, covered with a rocky mantle and crust. Gas planets usually have a cord, sometimes rocky, sometimes mettalic hydrogen, and a gasesous atmostphere thousands of miles deep, largely composed of hydrogen, helium, methane and ammonia.
