Epifocus is a term used in microscopy to refer to the point in a light microscope where the rays of light coming from the objective lens intersect without any further interference. It is the ideal focusing position to obtain the sharpest image. Adjusting the focus to the epifocus point helps in achieving the best resolution and clarity in microscopy.
