October WAS the eight month...in 45 BC, Julius Ceasar added two months to "correct" the Julian calender, but kept the names of the months that already existed.
One day it is the 28th, 30th, or 31st, of a month, and then at Midnight, the next day, it becomes the 1st of the following month. The calender is a man made invention. It happens because society agrees to follow it.
As of today, June 25 2012, it is the month of June for people in most English speaking nonreligious cultures.

without the year, no one can tell you the Chinese calender date of your English calender date. it is just not a date-to-date "translation". the number of days in a month in Chinese calender can be very different from that to the English calender. therefore, 18th June in the different year of English calender will not be the same for the same year in the Chinese calender. however, u can easily find the date u want from this link... http://www.chinesetools.eu/tools/chinesecalendar/index.php?mois=9&annee=2008&Submit=Ok

Well the spanish calender always starts the week with "lunes" which is monday. Ours starts with Sunday which is "domingo" in spanish. Another difference between the calenders is that the weeks start with a lowercase letter and our English calender, the weeks are capitalized. The last difference is that the day of the month comes before the month on the spanish calender. What I mean by that is that for example if you wanted to say November 18, 2010. You would put 18/11/10. On the English calender it would say 11/18/10. And that's it! Hope I helped though. I might've been late commenting on it but I gave some information. =)
Chaitra Masa is the first month in Hindu Calender.
