the prime meridian
The Earth revolves around its axis, an imaginary line running through the centre of the Earth from the North pole to the South pole. As an orbiting planet, its orbit takes it around the Sun once every year.
Use the 2 stars in the front of the bowl of the Big Dipper - draw an imaginary line from those two and you will come to Polaris - the North Star
The average temperatures in Great Britain would be much colder if not for the North Atlantic Drift. The North Atlantic Drift is part of the Gulf Stream, which brings warm air up from the Gulf of Mexico.
That line is called the Prime Meridian and it runs from the north pole to the south pole, mostly over the ocean.
All meridians of longitude converge at the north pole, which is the north extremity of the Earth's rotational axis. They also converge at the south pole, which is the south extremity of the Earth's rotational axis. Neither ponit is the 'beginning' or 'end' of the meridians.

An imaginary line running through the Atlantic Ocean between the north and south poles and not crossing any land except Greenland and Antarctica could be any meridian between 24.5° and 35° West longitude.
There is no special name for such a line, although I suppose you might call it the mid-pond meridian.
line of demarcation is an imaginary line running down the middle of the Atlantic from the North Pole to the south. Pope Alexander VI drew it in 1493
Do you mean the international dateline that runs north to south across the pacific? I'm pretty sure it is the Prime Meridian. But I'm not positive, so don't count on it. The prime meridian runs through greenwich (i.e. the opposite of the international dateline), not the Atlantic.
The 20o west meridian approximates an imaginary line running north and south through the Atlantic Ocean. The eastern and western hemispheres are actually separated by the meridians 20o west and 160o east.

The Greenwich Meridian is an imaginary longitude line running round the earth North, South, North at 0 degrees in the same way that the Equator is an imaginary latitude line running round the earth.

There wasn't any North Atlantic trade. Ships and navagation weren't able to do that at that time.
