Best Answer

Saturn is the least dense planet, only 0.7 g/cc on average (less than water's density). If you could put Saturn in bathwater, it would float.

What planet is the least dense of the gas giants?

Saturn is the least dense of the gas giants, even out of all of the planets in our solar system. Its average density is around 0.7 g/cc (less than water).

Earth. Saturn is the least dense.

What does the least dense planet mean?

The phrase "least dense planet" refers simply to the planet with the lowest density, which is the planet's mass divided by its volume. In our solar system, Saturn is the least dense planet with a density of roughly 0.7 (water, by comparison, has a density of 1, or 1 gram per cubic centimeter). This is attributed to its large outer envelope of gas - although it is thought to have a denser rocky core.

Which planet is the least dense and would float?

Saturn is that planet. It's less dense than water so would float in theory, but it's not a very practicable idea.

Mars is the least dense of the rocky planets.

Which sphere would be the least dense sphere?

The planet Saturn is the least dense of all the planets.I think this is actually about the " four spheres" on Earth. The four "spheres" of the Earth's surface can be described as:atmosphere, biosphere, hydrosphere, and lithosphere. The least dense is the atmosphere.

Which planet is the second largest planet?

Saturn is the second-largest planet in the solar system and also the least dense planet. It is less dense than water. In other words, if there was a big enough bath tub, Saturn would float in it.
