The International Space Station, sometimes called Zarya.
The International Space Station (ISS) is one of the most famous space stations in orbit around Earth. It serves as a laboratory for scientific research and international cooperation among countries in space exploration.
The most famous Russian space station is Mir. It was launched in 1986 and orbited the Earth for 15 years, serving as a valuable platform for scientific research and international cooperation in space. Mir held several significant records, including the longest continuous presence in space by a human.
Actually, the International Space Station (ISS) is not the first space station to orbit Earth. Several others, such as the Soviet Union's Mir space station and the United States' Skylab, preceded it. The ISS is, however, the largest and most advanced space station ever built, representing an international collaboration among several countries.

I suppose the international space station is mankind's most recent colony.

Probably Sputnik (Sputnik 1), the Hubble (the Hubble Space Telescope) or the International Space Station (ISS) if you mean artificial satellites. Otherwise it's the moon.

The International Space Station normally has a crew of three or four, and while they rotate, most astronauts do not get to live on the space station. As of Feb. 2010 the number is now up to 6.

asteroid rendevous
The international space station makes use of solar power.
I would have to say the Moon, but there are many famous satellites that orbit Earth (Hubble, the International Space Station, Chandra X-ray Observatory, etc.)
