Saturn's period of rotation is the time it takes to rotate once on its axis. It takes 10 hours and 39 minutes for Saturn to rotate, making a day on Saturn shorter than a day on Earth.
10 hours, 39 minutes and 22 seconds
revolution-is the revolving of an object around another object. rotation-is the spinning of an object on its axis. revolution and rotation are two different concepts but, are alike in some way. Rotation- Dominic
Revolution
well, it just so happens I've done research in this type of stuff in school, and i can remember, and tell you that the 2 planets that have the closest period of rotation are Jupiter and Saturn.
The rotation periods are (in days) Jupiter: 0.41354 Saturn: 0.44401 Uranus: 0.71833 Neptune: 0.67125 Jupiter takes 11.8 yrs to complete one revolution. Saturn takes 29.5 yrs to complete one revolution. Uranus takes 84 yrs to complete one revolution. Neptune takes 164.8 yrs to complete one revolution.
its revolution period is 687 (Earth) days. And its rotation period is 24 hours, 39 minutes
Saturn does not orbit the moon, it orbits the sun. This is called its revolution, not its rotation. Saturn's period of rotation on its axis is 10 hours 33 minutes. Its period of revolution around the sun 29.45 years.
Saturn's rotation is relatively fast, taking about 10.7 hours to complete one full rotation on its axis. However, its revolution around the Sun is slower, taking about 29.5 Earth years to complete one orbit.
The rotaion takes 10 hours and 14 minutes and the revolution takes 29.5 Earth years.
Saturn's revolution time, the time it takes to orbit around the sun, is about 29.5 Earth years. Saturn's rotation time, its day length, is about 10.7 hours, making it one of the fastest rotating planets in our solar system.
Saturn's rotational period is the Saturnian "day." As Saturn is a gas giant, the visible features on Saturn rotate at different rates depending on latitude; the Equatorial Zone has a period of 10 h 14 min 00 s. All other Saturnian latitudes have been assigned a rotation period of 10 h 39 min 24 s.The precise value for the rotation period of the interior remains elusive but the best estimate is approximately 10 h 45 m 45 s (± 36 s).The revolution period of Saturn refers to the orbital period around the Sun (the Saturn "year"), which is about 10,579 Earth days or 29.5 Earth years.(see related link)
The period for Saturn's revolution around the Sun is about 29.4571 years. Saturn's rotation, the length of Saturn's day, is very complex and takes about 10.5 hours. The reason it is complex is that features at different latitudes appear to have different rotational periods.
Time Span for the Revolution of SaturnThe term Revolution describes one elliptical rotation (a 360 degree rotation, aka a big circle) around the Sun. My science book says that Saturn takes approximately 29.456 Earth years to revolve around the Sun, which is one Saturn year and each Saturn day is 10.2 Earth hours. These are my own words, I only took numbers.
Saturn rotates very fast and is able to complete one rotation in approximately 10 hours. Saturn, which was named after the Roman God, is the sixth planet from the Sun.
no they arent rotation on the sun
what is Saturn rotation
The length of Saturn's rotation on its axis is about ten and a half hours.
Saturn's rotation time on axis is 42.5km and 6 hrs.
