The thermosphere is the warmest layer of the atmosphere primarily due to its absorption of high-energy solar radiation, particularly ultraviolet (UV) and X-ray radiation. This energy excites the sparse gas molecules present in this layer, leading to significantly higher temperatures, which can reach up to 2,500°C (4,500°F) or more. However, despite these high temperatures, the thermosphere would not feel hot to a human because of the extremely low density of the air, meaning there are very few molecules to transfer heat.
Cold because the higher up you go in the atmosphere the colder it gets, but the warmest layer of the atmosphere is the thermoshere. Also a good indication of the temperature of a layer in the atmosphere is to look at the weather, because on a good sized mountain there is snow at the top.
Troposphere contains nearly all of the atmosphere's clouds. This is for 2 reasons: first, almost all water vapor is contained in this layer. Second, the air is inherently unstable, since it is warmest at the bottom. The causes the air to always want to rise, creating clouds under the right conditions.
