if i remember correctly, Pluto was the closest planet to the size of earths moon, but now cause Pluto is so small, it has now been classified as just rock, and not as a planet anymore

∙ 12y agoThe only planet close in size to the moon is Mercury, the closest planet to the sun.
The mean radius of the moon is 1737.10 km
The mean radius of Mercury is 2439.7 km
There are many dwarf planets that are close in size to the moon, but that would be another question.

∙ 12y agoPluto is the smallest planet meaning that is is closest to the size of our moon. Pluto is 0.181 times the size of the earth while the moon is 0.273 times of the earth (Earth being 1.0). But since a few years ago Pluto was declassified as a planet meaning that it is no longer a classified planet. So now Mercury is the planet that is closest to the size of our moon.
By the way both Mercury and Pluto are on opposite sides of the solar system. (Closest and farthest from the sun).

∙ 12y agoThe smallest planet, Mercury, has a diameter closest to the size of our moon, 1405 km larger than our moons diameter. If we include dwarf planets though, Eris is closest in size, with a mean diameter 1148km smaller than our moon's.

The moon is not a planet.
The planet Mercury has the most similar cratered surface compared to the moon.

Triton is the largest moon of the planet Neptune. It is similar in composition and size to Pluto (even a little larger), so is thought to have been a Kuiper belt object that was 'captured' by Neptune many years ago.Triton is the largest moon of the planet Neptune.Triton orbits Neptune, and is the planet's largest moon.
Their is no planet the same size as Pluto, Mercury is slightly bigger than Pluto. As for other objects in the solar system, the dwarf planet Eris and Neptune's moon Triton are close in size to Pluto.
It's similar to our moon.
There is no planet that has the same size moon as the planet. This is only possible if Pluto was still a planet.
The planet Mars has a very thin atmosphere, similar to the moon.

A double planet describes two bodies of similar size and mass that are in orbit (not necessarily around each other) . The Earth and Moon would not be considered a double planet because of the great size and mass difference between the two. However, Pluto and its moon Charon COULD be classified as a double planet- both have similar sizes and mass, and orbit a point outside of one another.
There is no such planet known. In our solar system, the planet whose moon is closest in size to the planet which it orbits is none other than our own planet Earth. However, the Moon is still much smaller than the Earth. Pluto has a Moon that's big, but Pluto isn't a "planet" now, of course.

Venus is closest to earths planet size.
No, because the Moon is not a planet. However, they are similar in several ways, especially their cratered surfaces.
