All planets take one "year" to orbit the Sun. That is the definition of a year. The length of the year will vary depending on the planets distance from the Sun.
For instance the Earth has a year about 365 (Earth) days long, whilst Mercury has a year about 88 (Earth) days long.

(Obviously the "simple" answer is The Earth.)

Planet Earth.

No planet revolves around the Earth. The Moon revolves around the Earth.

The Earth rotates on it's axis, giving night and day

It takes 29 earth years for this planet to travel around the sun once?

No, actually it takes 365.26 days to orbit around the sun. This is one year.

What is a planet year?

A year by definition is the time it takes a planet to orbit the Sun, therefore a planet year is different depending on what planet you are discussing. a planet closer to the Sun would have a shorter year (less distance to travel) whereas a planet farther from the Sun would have a longer year (more distance to travel)This is the time taken for the planet to orbit once around the sun. An earth year is still an earth year, regardless of what plaet you are on.The period of time that it takes for a planet in our solar system to make a complete revolution around the sun.As such due to their differing orbits this can vary considerably from an 88 day year for Mercury (approx. 1/4 of an Earth year) up to a 90,613 day year for Pluto (approx. 248 Earth years).

The time a planet takes to revolve around the sun is called?

that planets year

The time a planet takes to make a single trip around the sun is called what?

For a planet in our solar system, one revolution around the Sun is called a "year." Each planet has a different year. As you know, Earth takes 365.25 days to follow its orbit around the Sun, though Jupiter's year is about 4335 earth days. It all depends on how long it takes each one to revolve around the Sun.

Why is a year different on each planet?

A year is different on each planet because the planets move at different speeds (e.g. Earth takes 365 and a a quarter days to spin around the sun once and Mercury takes 88 days to orbit on its axis.

Who makes the year?

No one 'makes' the year. A year is simply the measurement of the time it takes a planet to travel one complete orbit around the star (sun) that it orbits (or one revolution). A day is the time it takes a planet to make a full spin around its axis (or one rotation).

How is a year on a PLANET?

On Earth, a year is the time Earth takes to travel once around the Sun. The term "year", applied to other planets, may either refer to a standard Earth year, which is a very convenient unit of time, or to the time the planet takes to go once around the Sun. As an example, a "year" on Jupiter takes about 12 Earth years.

How long is a day and a year on the planet?

A planets day (solar day) is the time it takes to rotate once on its axis relative to the sun, the synodic period. A year on a planet is the time taken for the planet travel once around the sun.

What is earthes orbit?

An orbit is the path a planet takes around the sun. Earth's orbit is an ellipse. It takes the Earth one year to travel along the elliptical path around the sun.

Does it takes the sun a year to orbit the earth?

A "year" is the time it takes for the earth to orbit the sun. Each planet has it's own year. A "day" is how long it takes for the planet to spin all the way around.

How are the length of a planet year and planet distance from the sun?

A planet year is defined as the time it takes a planet to make one complete revolution in its orbit around the sun. The farther away from the sun a planet is, the larger its orbit. The larger its orbit, the longer (more days) it takes to go around the sun. Thus, the farther away a planet is from the sun, the longer its year will be.
