Earth and Venus. From Earth Venus and Mercury are planets visible as "morning" and "evening" stars.

From Venus, Mercury would appear in the morning and evening sky.

From Mars I would expect Earth, Venus, and Mercury to all be morning and evening "stars."

Which planets have morning and evening stars?

Any planets further in would tend to appear as morning or evening "stars." So from Mars the planets Earth, Venus, and Mercury would all be morning and evening "stars." Venus, of course, would be much brighter than Earth, even though Earth would generally be closer. Earth has a lower albedo.

What planet was once thought to be two planets?

Both Mercury and Venus have been known as the "morning star" or "evening star" in some form for various cultures and civilizations. Sometimes, these evening and morning appearances were thought to represent different "stars." (Of course, they are not stars at all and are rather the two planets closest to the Sun.) In ancient Greece, Mercury was called Apollo when it appeared as a morning star with sunrise and Hermes (the Greek equivalent of the Roman god Mercury) when it appeared as an evening star near sunset. Venus was also known to ancient civilizations both as the "morning star" and as the "evening star". The Greeks thought of the two as separate stars, Phosphoros and Hesperos, until the sixth century BC. The Romans designated the morning aspect of Venus as Lucifer (meaning Light-Bringer) and the evening aspect as Vesper. Venus is dramatic in the morning and evening sky while Mercury is smaller, dimmer and hard to see. (Most people have never seen Mercury and everyone has seen Venus whether they know it or not.) As a consequence, references to Venus are more common when the term morning star or evening star are made. (It is also true that sometimes any star that is the first visible start of the morning or evening is given such a name for that particular day.)

Where in the sky is the sun in the morning?

Mercury and Venus can be seen in the morning and evening, but neither are accurately described as "stars."

What planet is known as both the morning star and the evening star?

The third brightest natural object in the sky is Venus, visible sometimes in the the western evening sky, and sometimes in the eastern morning sky. Venus is not a star, but a planet. Planets are far smaller than stars and shine primarily from reflected sunlight.

Which planet was thought as two planets?

I think the answer is "Mercury". That's because it appears in the sky as the "morning star" and also as the "evening star".

Morning star and evening star are the same?

Not necessarily. Though some appear as morning and evening 'stars'. Venus for example.

When can you see a planet from earth?

Venus and Mercury are often seen as evening or morning stars. Other planets, especially Mars and Jupiter, may appear as evening or morning stars at certain points in their orbits.Evening star or morning star, planet that becomes visible in the western sky shortly after sunset or in the eastern sky shortly before sunrise. It can usually be seen in twilight, when it is too light for the true stars to be seen.______________________________In January, 2010, the planet Jupiter is visible in the west after sunset. Mars rises about 8 PM, and is visible the rest of the night.

What 2 planets are considered the morning and evening stars?

Mercury and Venus are visible to naked eye or small telescope observation at these times but are also visible in transit of the sun (as they go across the disc of the sun). This means that no planets are only visible at sunrise or sunset.

Do stars orbit planets or planets orbit stars?

Planets orbit stars.

Morning or evening star?

Venus is the most common one, because it's so bright, and it really jumps out of the twilight sky just before sunrise or just after sunset. But any of the naked-eye-visible planets can be a morning or evening star: Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, or Saturn.

What plant is called theevening star?

The planet Venus is normally referred to as the morning or evening star depending on where it is in its orbit around the sun. Venus is the brightest object in the sky after the sun and moon.
