We don't know where Maria Cunitz went to school but it is believed that her father acted as a teacher to her. She could fluently speak French, Italian, German, Latin, Greek, Hebrew and Polish. Although this in itself was an accomplishment, she was also a skilled painter, musician and poet. She also learnt mathematics, medicine and history which were subjects that were considered inappropriate for a woman at the time. Her friend Elias von Lowen (eventual husband) taught her mathematics, medicine, history and encouraged her in astronomy.

Hope this helps :)
