well... i don't think humans would exist anymore. not because of 2012, but because of global warming, the sun could turn into a black hole or be too cold, the moon is moving away from the earth everyday and the human race could be killed by supernatral causes that we don't know yet.

Humans will likely still exist in 10,000 years but not at the levels they do now. There will probably be a mass extinction due to pollution or overpopulation causing the spread of disease, but some will survive. We will settle other places in the solar system but no further.

10,000 years is a blink in astronomical time. The Sun will be burning fine and the moon will still be here. What happens to us in that time frame is mostly dependent on what we do to ourselves.
