Two significant events that caused a slowdown in the space program were the Challenger disaster in 1986 and the Columbia disaster in 2003. The Challenger explosion resulted in a temporary grounding of the Space Shuttle program as NASA reevaluated safety protocols, while the Columbia disaster led to a lengthy investigation and further safety overhauls. Both tragedies instilled a heightened focus on risk management and safety, resulting in delays in planned missions and projects. These incidents underscored the challenges and dangers associated with human spaceflight, leading to increased scrutiny and caution in future endeavors.
NASA is shutting down the space program because the ISS (international space station) will no further need any assistance. NASA also has completed it missions with the space shuttle program just like it is done with Apollo. But this does 100% mean that NASA is not shutting down. Their are many other missions that future astronaut's will discover. Such as the Constellation Program, and mission to Mars.
The space shuttle program was retired in 2011 due to safety concerns, high operational costs, and the desire to focus on developing new space exploration technologies and capabilities. The decision was also influenced by the need to transition to more sustainable and cost-effective space transportation options.
For 300 years scientists thought that craters on the moon have been caused by volcanoes, but they are actually made by meteors crashing onto the moon's surface The moon is our satellite. As such it acts as a deflector for meteors and other space stuff that may come into our orbit! That is why the moon has so many craters as it is constantly being battered. The craters were caused mainly by impacts by objects from space.
The space program has given us many things. One of the major inventions is the computer. Without the space program I don't think our computers would be sitting on our desks or in our laps. Corning Ware is another product of the space program, space blankets is also one. Many times things are invented for military use and then it filters down to the general population. A good example is GPS. It is in our cars, but it was made for the military first. The fact we have satellite TV is another space program by product. So, look around you and think of the many things you have that came out of the science for the space program.
Weight is caused by being pulled down by a planet, therefore it changes from planet to planet. When in space we orbit a planet and the acceleration of the orbit counter-acts the weight - resulting in weightlessness.
NASA will not shut down it is just shutting down the space program. After the space program will start the Constellation Program that will send human beings to the moon at back to earth safely.
.yes
2011.
she was in nasa and nasa as a space shuttle is know shut down so yes the program is over
too many people died in space so they decided to shut the program down :(

there will be people from space come down to kill you guys:)
Well when you fall down or hit yourself hard you get a bruise and it is caused just by events like that. Then a blood vessel comes to the surface.

Simple but true, to learn more about space in general and by few means and to learn to make technology to get to Pluto and beyond. In simple form: To live in space to collect information about space to see how far we can go without being killed. But Obama has recently shut down the NASA program and they aren't sending people into space but I imagine our next president's first move will be to restart the program.
Russian military jets shot-down a civilian Korean Airlines plane at the edge of Russian air space.
Insanity can be caused by various things, traumatic events such as abuse, mental illness can be passed down by your genes and sometimes it just happens.
