it is better ot launch a hot air balloon on a cold day than on a warm day because the air rises in the atmosphere therefore if you were to go for a cold day you would go very high but if you were to go a ride on a hot day the hot air balloon wont go as high as on the cold day .
The first liquid-fueled rocket was launched on March 16, 1926 by American scientist Robert H. Goddard in Auburn, Massachusetts.
It all depends on the amount of fuel you have, most hot air balloons carry 1-2 fuel tanks. On average a hot air balloon burns 25 Gallons of propane an hour, and average fuel tank is a 10 Gallon fuel tank, sometimes 15 Gallons, meaning roughly 45 minutes to an 60 minutes, sometimes its a cool day, you'll require less fuel for more heat, it will last up to an 90 minutes. However, larger balloons carry more fuel, and can stay in the air longer.
A balloon is usually launched in the morning in order to take adventage of the rising air temperature. As long as the temperature is rising, the balloon will need less assistance from the burning fuel to stay aloft. Less fuel burned means less fuel needs to be carried, which further reduces the effort needed to lift the balloon.
its colder at night than it is during the day, so it feels colder at night.
Both modern and olden day hot air balloons use the same principle of heating air to create lift and ascend. They both consist of a large envelope to hold the hot air and a basket for passengers. The basic design and operation of hot air balloons have remained relatively unchanged over time.
Modern Hot Air Balloons are made of heat resistent Nylon. The olden day ones were made of heavy cotton or linen fabric. Hope that helps ♥ :)
olden day hot air balloons were made of heavy cotton or linen fabric and carried animals, while modern hot air balloons are made out of heat resistant nylon and carried people hope this helps if this isn't what you're looking for here are some other websites to try http://www.hotairballooning.com/faq/entry/how_do_balloons-fly-29.html or http://www.eballoon.org/history/history-of-ballooning.html these websites are really useful for projects :D
The balloons in the Macey's Parade are not hot air balloons, they are filed with helium. All of the balloons are designed and made by the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company.
olden day cars have no safety belts
There are no hot air balloons. They use helium.
They made socks and stocking in the olden day and in the medieval towns.
Actually they mostly did ballet and clog dancing in the "olden days"
The most obvious are being used every day. Air transportation includes: Airplanes, Helicopters, Hot Air Balloons, Blimps, Rockets, Kites, Parachutes and Birds.
Discuss the purification methods used in the olden days
Helium is safer than hydrogen in hot air balloons because it is non-flammable. Hydrogen can ignite easily, posing a greater risk of fire. Additionally, helium is more stable and its lifting capacity is sufficient for use in hot air balloons.
Hundreds of people buy balloons for their loved ones on Valentine's Day.
