Neil Armstrong's first words when he set foot on the Moon were

"That's one small step for [a] man, one giant leap for mankind."

By omitting the "a" Armstrong changed the meaning of the intended sentence,

which nonetheless was interpreted as he intended.

His first words as the lunar lander touched down some hours earlier were:

"Houston, Tranquility Base here. The Eagle has landed."

This was alluding to the fact that the Eagle was now on the surface of the Moon, at their landing site on the Sea of Tranquility.
