because the planets use the sun's gravitaional pull if it lost it all the planets would spiral out wards and earth would freeze because of no heat.
It would get bigger
If th sun's gravity were to disappear, Earth would go off in a straight line into interstellar space.
The same thing that happens every night when the sun disappears...nothing! Gravity on Earth is not dependent on the Sun. But life on Earth is, gravity would be the least of Earth's problems if the Sun dissapeared
If only gravity were acting on Earth, it would continue revolving around the Sun in its elliptical orbit without any external forces to change its path. The force of gravity between the Earth and the Sun would keep Earth in its current orbit, so it would not be pulled closer to the Sun.
If water were poured on the Sun, it would almost instantly vaporize due to the Sun's extremely high temperatures. The water molecules would break apart into hydrogen and oxygen atoms, eventually being engulfed by the Sun's intense heat and gravity.
It would drift out into space at a constant speed along the tangent to its orbit when gravity stopped.
If there was no gravity, the Sun and and the planets would never have formed.
It would get bigger
If th sun's gravity were to disappear, Earth would go off in a straight line into interstellar space.
If it did, it would be destroyed. Due to gravity, it would not happen.
The sun's gravity would pull the earth in to it and the earth would burn up
it would push it away
What would happen to the earth if the sun's mass (and, thereby, its gravity) suddenly went to zero? The earth would continue moving in the direction it was going when the sun's gravity disappeared. It would depart the area on a tangent to its original orbit and head off into space. There would be dark days ahead.
We would go into the sun because we don't have any inertia.. We would die
We would fly off into space, and we would all die because it is to cold!
The earth would only rotate the sun because the sun is a star so only stars and meteors would be left.
The orbits of the planets would all be much larger if the sun had less gravity. They might even just fly off free.
