i believe but first I'm not a scientist's believe that when the asteroid hit earth when that day of extinction for dinosaurs yes the asteroid spread-ed almost a million kilometers but its weird how one small or maybe bigger one country or state wasn't covered by the fire....its possible that that little piece that survived was at the bottom of the earth.....what do u think if u disagree with me???????
the asteroid raced across from Mars to Jupiter
An asteroid is going too hit earth this weekend.
The gravity in the asteroid belt is much weaker than on Earth due to its scattered and small mass. Objects in the asteroid belt experience very low gravity, with most asteroids having too little mass to exert a significant gravitational force on one another.
yes, the asteroid tauntless is a space rock which crosses orbits with earth every 'so many' years, it will come close to the planet but no actually collide with it though, (or let's hope it doesn't!)
You usually get a crater, with surrounding damage.
August 2027 has no particular significance for that asteroid. In August 2027 an object called 1999 AN10 will pass close to Earth and be the biggest since 2015 TB145.
No, an asteroid cannot destroy earth, but a large enough asteroid can have devastating effects on the life on Earth
No, if the Earth was destroyed by an asteroid we would not be living today.
Yes, the asteroid belt starts properly after the orbit of Mars.
Yes, if the asteroid is captured by the Earth's gravitational pull.
Ceres is smaller than any planet; even smaller than Pluto.
Probably not. I haven't seen any news about an asteroid about to strike Earth.
Theory suggests that it is a remnant of a large asteroid that struck the Earth
No.
Technically, if it hits the Earth it's not an "asteroid", it's a "meteorite". And yes, meteorites hit the Earth all the time.
Which asteroid? depending on its size, an asteroid impact could be devastating for life on Earth, though life would recover somehow eventually.
An asteroid can indeed damage a planet when it strikes it. It is possible that an asteroid strike resulted in the dying off of the dinosaurs on Earth. There are certainly some large craters on Earth that are suggestive of asteroid strikes.
