Are there any disadvantages to the mars rover?

first of all mars rover is a robot... so a robot can only work if it's given a program... and it depends on the program... it could be a program that let's a robot clean serve or whatever... but there's a very huge disadvatage of robot... a robot doesn't have coomon sense, emotion, and decision making... well for our present technology... so that's how hard it is for a robot to work... for a robot... hundred and thousands miles away from earth.... how on earth will the mars rover work... i can imagine a mars rover as a retarded cockroach because take a look at this.... mars rover needs to give program and control every now and then from earth to mars.... imagine how hard it is..... our technology is vvverry primitive... in terms of robotics... but we made a very big progress but still looooooOOOOng way to GO
