Jupiter is not the slowest, but it is a lot slower than Earth. Jupiter is the fifth
planet from the Sun. The time taken for a planet to orbit the Sun increases
with distance from the Sun. There are two reasons :
1) The size of its orbit gets bigger.
2) The planet moves more slowly. This follows from the
mathematics of Newton's gravitation theory.
Jupiter
In our Solar System, Jupiter has the most moons with 63.
Most of Jupiter's 63 moons are captured from the outer solar system. The ones that are not are left over gas, rock and ice from the accretion disk that formed around Jupiter when it was coalescing into a planet.
Asteroid belt
The most common elements of Jupiter are molecular hydrogen (89.8%) and helium (10.2%).
Anything in a gravitational orbit moves most slowly whenthe distance between it and the central body is greatest.
According to Kepler's second law, Jupiter will be traveling most slowly around the Sun when at aphelion.

Jupiter.
Most of Jupiter's smaller moons were actually asteroids in the asteroid belt. Jupiter's immense gravity pulled them out and into it's orbit. Some just spun around and around until it was flung into space, but most stayed to become moons.
