Queenstown Rovers was created in 1996.
Space rovers were created to explore the surface of celestial bodies like Mars and the Moon without risking human lives. These robotic machines can gather data, collect samples, and perform experiments in environments that are too harsh or dangerous for humans to navigate directly. Rovers also allow for longer missions and more extensive exploration due to their ability to operate autonomously.
There have been plenty of mars rovers. The names of the two rovers currently (2008) deployed by NASA are "Spirit" (at the Gusev crater) and "Opportunity" (at Merridiani). You can find more information about this mission at by visiting the link below.Spirit and Opportunity
Some space probes have small robots called "rovers" that are designed to explore the surface of planets or moons. These rovers are equipped with various instruments and cameras to collect data and images.
There are two Mars rovers, named Spirit and Opportunity. There's obviously "Curiosity" now too. In fact Spirit doesn't work anymore, so there are still two Mars rovers working.
