From Earth, you can only see ONE side of the moon. And that is the same side that has been facing us for as long as I can remember. The moon does not rotate its face. I'm afraid you can't ever see the dark side of moon from Earth :(

When is the dark side of the moon also the far side of the moon?

No. The far side of the moon is usually partially illuminated by the sun and is only completely dark during the full moon. The far side of the moon is fully lit during the new moon phase. It is called the "dark" side of the moon because we never see it.

Is the far side of the moon ever dark?

Yes. The far side of the moon is dark when we see a full moon. It is partially dark at all phases other than the new moon.

What is the ''dark side of the moon''?

The side in which the moon has least light. ------------------- I believe the phrase typically refers to the far side of the moon, as the "dark side" is not one fixed location. As it moves, the plane of light moves across it just like on earth. The moon is in a state of synchronous rotation with the earth, with both one revolution and one rotation taking the same amount of time; 1 month. As such, the same side of the moon is always facing earth. The side that faces away is the far side, often referred to incorrectly as the dark side.

What moon features exists on the dark and light areas of the moon?

All of them. The Moon does not have a "dark side" and a "light side". It does have a "nearside" and a 'far side", but the Moon has 29 day cycles of sunlight and night - except that on the night side of the Moon, it is illuminated by the nearly full Earth.

Why does the moon have a dark side but earth doesn't?

I may not be right but I think because the moon moves it makes a dark side on the earth so the earth does not need one. Also one side if the earth can not be dark all the time!! The. It would be might all the time!

Why there is a phases in the moon?

Depending on the relative position (direction, actually) of Earth, Moon, and Sun, we see the bright side of the Moon (full moon), the dark side (new moon), or something in between.
