It ended in December 1972 after Apollo 17.
kinnda, the Apollo missions did exist ( moon landing) and they ended at Apollo 17. they ended because they were VERY expensive and were risky. there was no Apollo 18 sadly. ( it would be fun to go to the moon again!)
The Apollo 1 mission was originally scheduled to launch on Feb 21, 1967. The mission was the first crewed flight of Apollo and 3 astronauts, Virgil Grissom, Edward White and Roger Chaffee, lost their lives in the tragedy.
The Apollo 11 mission ended on July 24, 1969, when the spacecraft successfully splashed down in the Pacific Ocean.
No one. After the fire of Apollo 1, all missions up to Apollo 6 included were unmanned test flights.

Apollo 1 and its crew were destroyed in a fire while still on the pad weeks before the mission was scheduled to launch. While there were changes in NASA brought about by this tragedy, there were technically no mission accomplishments as the mission never took place.
There was no Apollo 2 mission. The Apollo program started with Apollo 1 and then continued to Apollo 7. This numbering change occurred because the first mission ended in a tragic accident during a pre-launch test, leading to a reassignment of mission numbers.
John Swigert, Fred Haise, and James Lovell. There was supposed to be a fourth crew member but he ended up not going on the Apollo 13 mission and instead went on the Apollo 14 mission.
Apollo 1 was the name of the first mission of NASA's Apollo program. The mission ended when the command module and the crew were destroyed in a fire during a routine test weeks before launch.
There will never be another Apollo mission. The Apollo prgram ended with Apollo 17 in 1972. There were a few additional missions using Apollo equipment that were flown under the Apollo Applications program.
The Apollo missions were ended by NASA due to budget constraints and shifting priorities. The final mission was Apollo 17 in 1972. NASA shifted its focus to the development of the Space Shuttle program after the Apollo missions.
